Bathroom Tray, Screen & Tile Replacement in Brixton

A new shower tray and screen and replaced sections of tiling, worked around the client's existing shower valve.

Location
Brixton

Project overview

Fullerton Property Maintenance replaced the shower tray and shower screen in a Brixton bathroom, and replaced sections of the tiling around them. The existing shower valve was kept.

This was a targeted bathroom repair, not a full bathroom renovation. The brief was a focused one: a new tray and screen, the affected tiles replaced, the valve retained, and the whole job kept within the client's budget.

The work required

The client was working within a budget. They wanted the bathroom repairs they needed completed while retaining the existing valve, so those were the two limits the work had to respect.

The photo shows the existing corner shower enclosure, with frosted sliding doors, before the work began.

Work completed

  • Replaced the shower tray
  • Replaced the shower screen
  • Replaced sections of tiles
  • Plumbing work
  • Tiling work
  • Retained the existing valve, as requested

Plumbing & shower tray

Plumbing was part of the job alongside fitting the replacement shower tray.

The client wanted to keep their existing valve, so the work was planned and completed around it. The valve was retained, as requested, rather than replaced.

Tiling work

Where tiles needed replacing, the affected section was taken off the wall and replacement tiling put in. Sections of tiles were replaced rather than the whole bathroom retiled.

The photo taken during the work shows the opening left where the tiles were cut out, with the wall behind exposed.

Result

A new shower tray and screen in place, replaced sections of tiling, and the existing valve retained.

The final photo shows the new glass screen over the replacement tray, with the retained valve and shower rail on the wall beside it.
